Notes on Configuring IC Win Client and Web
Client for Utilities
This section describes the necessary configuration settings in the IC Win Client and Web Client for Utilities for the business scenario Service Processes for Utilities.
The business scenario consists of the following processes:
If you want to use the action box in the IC WinClient or in the transaction launcher in the IC WebClient to call BOR methods or front office processes from the IS-U/CCS backend system, you have to set up an RFC connection from CRM to IS-U/CCS and carry out the necessary configuration. You need to set up the RFC connection as a Trusted-System-Connection so that it is not necessary to log on explicitly to the backend system but the user context is defined correctly in the backend. This is particularly relevant for authorization checks and for writing change documents.
If you want to call the objects/processes via SAPGui for HTML (this is obligatory for the transaction launcher of the IC WebClient), you must set up an internet transaction server (ITS) for the IS-U/CCS system and deploy the CCMP_RABOX service. In order to avoid having to log on explicitly to the ITS, use transaction Administration Anmeldung für Single-Sign-On (SSO) (Transaktions-Code SSO2) in the backend to set up the Single-Sign-On function, which means that the ITS in SAP IS-U accepts the SSO2 cookies from the CRM system when you log on. You must also activate SSO on the ITS using the corresponding service parameters.
You can find the transaction for setting up the Single-Sign-On function in component General Settings for IC WinClient and IC WebClient under tab page Configuration.
In addition to the call types provided in SAP CRM (BOR method calls, workflow start, and so on), the IS-U front office processes are also available. You can define these using the corresponding activities in Customizing for SAP Utilities. These processes are called remotely and executed in the IS-U/CCS backend system. Therefore, the front office processes cannot access data and objects in the CRM system.
You can find the Customizing activities Define Front Office Processes and Define Front Office Editor Steps in component General Settings for IC WinClient and IC WebClient under the Configuration tab page.
You can find more information on the necessary settings under Special Settings for IC WinClient ® [Utilities] Make Additional Settings und Special Settings for IC WebClient ® [Utilities] Make Additional Settings.
