Definition

Technical name: COMM_PR_UNIT

Set type containing a base unit of measure, alternative units of measure, and the conversion factors for these units (how the alternative unit of measure is converted to the base unit of measure).

In the People-Centric UI, the base unit of measure is specified in the header data.

Use

Alternative units of measure cannot be maintained until you have defined the base unit of measure. You can maintain weights, volumes, and dimensions for each unit of measure for Materials in the SAP GUI. This is not possible in the People-Centric UI.

The net weight can be maintained for the base unit of measure and calculated for alternative units of measure using the conversion factors. You can only use base units of measure that have been defined in the Customizing step Check Units of Measurement under General Settings in the Implementation Guide.
