Error messages provide information about the cause and location of an error. They help you identify the problem that generated the error message.

During BDoc type modeling, errors are logged and displayed using a mechanism called Traffic Lights. When an error occurs, a red light glows on the Traffic Light button . The button displayed here indicates that one error has occurred. Choose this button to view the cause of the error. After the error has been rectified and the changes saved, a green light glows on the Traffic Light button . In case of a warning, a yellow light glows on the Traffic Light button . In such a case, you can choose to rectify the error or proceed with the next step.
There are certain errors such as errors related to the dependent services (Replication and Realignment) that do not occur during the modeling process. These errors are logged in a separate destination. To view these errors, choose Goto à
View Messages. This displays a log that contains details about the errors.
To view technical information about an error message, choose in the Display logs dialog box.
