Purpose

You use this process to create or modify an Advanced Selection for a business component.

Prerequisites

You know the names of the tables and fields you will use in the Advanced Selection

Note

There are no validations performed on tables and field names.

       1.      Using the Mobile System Maintenance application:

                            a.      Enter details for the advanced selection

You enter details such as the Name, Keyword, SQL statement, table, and field assignments for the advanced selection.

                            b.      Define criteria for the advanced selection

You define the criteria and build the criteria tree structure for the advanced selection.

                            c.      Define the variables for the criteria

You can:

§         Define variables for a criterion. For more information, see Variable Definition.

§         Design the variable as a combo box. For more information, see Variable Design.

       2.      Using the Mobile Application Studio:

Integrate an advanced selection for a business component of a mobile client application. For more information, see Integrating Advanced Selection for a Business Component.

 

Result

You have created an advanced selection and can now use it in a mobile client application such as Mobile Sales. For more information, see Using Advanced Selection.
