Use

The drag and drop function allows you to move an object or text to a new location by selecting it and dragging it across the screen with your cursor.

Features

You can use drag and drop to do the following:

·        Drag text to a different field

·         Put a shortcut on your desktop for a tile set

·         Reorder the tile sets in the navigation bar

·         Reorder the columns on a list tile

Dragging a Text to a Different Field

...

       1.      Highlight the text you want to move to a different field in the application window.

       2.      With the text highlighted, hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor across the screen to the location you want to place the text.

A rectangular shape appears at the end of the cursor to show that you are moving the text.

       3.      With the cursor over the new location, release the mouse button.

The text appears in the new field.

Placing a Shortcut on Your Desktop for a Tile Set

You can create a desktop shortcut to a specific tile set. When you access the tile set through this shortcut, the application displays the business data as it appeared in the application when you set the shortcut. The system will update this business data when you make changes in the application.

       1.      Open the tile set for which you want to set the desktop shortcut.

Note

Make sure the tile set displays the data to which you want to set the shortcut.

       2.      Position your cursor in the area above the navigation bar where the tile set name is displayed.

       3.      Hold down the mouse button on the name of the tile set and drag the tile set name onto your desktop.

       4.      With the cursor positioned on your desktop, release the mouse button.

Reordering the Tile Sets in the Navigation Bar

...

       1.      Open the business component in which you want to reorder the tile sets, for example, Contact Persons.

Note

You can only move a tile set within the same business component. You cannot move a tile set from one business component to another.

       2.      Position your cursor over the tile set name in the navigation bar.

       3.      Hold down the mouse button on the tile set name and drag it to the new location in the navigation bar. 

       4.      With the cursor positioned in the new location, release the mouse button.

Reordering the Columns on a List Tile

You can reorder the columns that appear on a list tile (for example, on the Business Partners tile in the Business Partners/Search tile set) by moving the column headers to a new location.

...

       1.      Activate the tile on which a list appears that you want to change.

       2.      Position your cursor over the column header that you want to move.

       3.      Hold down the mouse button on the column header and drag it to the new column position within the list.

Note

When you move the column, the mobile client application displays a double arrow and a rectangular outline to indicate that the column is being moved.

       4.      With the cursor positioned in the new location, release the mouse button.
