Procedure documentation Defining Account Groups and Field Selection for Customers Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Use this menu option to define account groups to which you assign customer master records with the same features (for example, a group of ship-to-parties, groups of one-time customers).

Prerequisites

·        Number ranges for account groups are defined.

·        Partner determination procedures are defined.

Procedure

...

       1.      In Customizing for Logistics General, choose Business Partner ® Customers ® Control ® Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Customers.

       2.      Choose New Entries.

       3.      Enter the following data:

Field Name

User Action and Default Values

Account Group

Enter a code for your account group.

Example: DSD1

Enter a description.

Example: DSD Driver

General Data

Number Range

Enter the number of the number range interval defined in the menu item Creating Number Ranges for Customer Accounts.

One-time acct.

Leave this checkbox blank because, in general, drivers are not one-time accounts.

Field Status

With the field status you determine the following:

·        Mandatory fields where data needs to be entered during the creation of the customer master record of an account group (Req. Entry);

·        Optional fields where you may or may not enter data (Opt. Entry)

·        Fields that should not be displayed by the SAP system (Suppress).

General data

Double-click General Data and then double-click each sub-field to set the following data:

·        Address: Req. Entry (Last name, Search term A, Postal Code, Transportation Zone); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Communication: Opt. Entry (all fields).

·        Control: Suppress (Reference account group, Business place, Tax type, CFOP category, Tax number 3, tax number 4, Brazilian taxes, tax categories); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Marketing: Suppress (Hierarchy Assignment); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Payment transactions: Suppress (DME Details); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Unloading Points: Opt. Entry (all fields).

·        Contact Person: Opt. Entry (all fields)

·        Foreign Trade: Opt. Entry (all fields)

Company Code Data

Double-click Company Code Data and then double-click each sub-field to set the following data:

·        Account Management: Suppress (Preference Indicator, Release Group, Gross Income Tax); Req. Entry (Reconciliation Account); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Payment Transactions: Suppress (Credit memo terms of payment, Diff. payer in document); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Correspondence: Opt. Entry (all fields).

·        Insurance: Opt. Entry (all fields).

·        Withholding tax data: Opt. Entry (all fields).

Sales data

Double-click Sales Data and then double-click each sub-field to set the following data:

·        Sales: Suppress (Document Index active); Req. Entry (Pricing Procedure, Currency); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Shipping: Suppress (Rail specifications); Req. Entry (Shipping Conditions/POD relevance); Display (Transportation Zone); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Billing: Req. Entry (Taxes and Licenses); Opt. Entry (all remaining fields).

·        Partner Usage: Opt. Entry (all fields).

·        Documents: Opt. Entry (all fields).

Sales and Distribution Data

You do not have to make entries for text determination, partner determination or other sales data at this point. You maintain these fields later when you set the defaults for the individual functions.
