Purpose

You can use the sales transactions in SAP CRM to represent the business transactions in the sales area of your company. You can create and postprocess inquiries, quotations and sales orders.

Sales transactions in SAP CRM offer:

·        Order processing via different communication channels, for example the Internet or the Interaction Center

·        Integration of the entire sales process – from the first customer contact to order completion

·        Extensive information in all phases of the sales process

·        Automatic determination procedures for quick and accurate order entry

Functional Scope

·        Creating and postprocessing sales transactions

You can create sales transactions using Internet Sales, the Interaction Center, or in CRM Enterprise, and postprocess them in CRM Enterprise. Incorrect transactions can also be saved, and are available for further postprocessing.

·        Triggering further processing

As soon as an order is saved as error-free, the transaction is transferred to SAP R/3. The subsequent logistical processes, such as order delivery, are processed here.

·        Adapting your business transactions

Customizing for transaction types offers you numerous settings for adapting the sales transaction to the business transactions in your enterprise. You can, for example, define a special transaction type for entering orders in Telesales.
