Use

The auto-complete function minimizes the effort required on your part to enter data. This fast-entry method allows you fill fields with a minimum number of keystrokes.

You can use the auto-complete function in:

·        Dropdown lists

·        Choice controls (for example, search fields)

Activities

To use the auto-complete function, enter the first letter of the entry you want to have displayed in the field. Next select the TAB key on your keyboard.

The system displays only the possible entries that begin with the letter you entered. From this list, you can select the entry you want.

The more letters you enter before selecting the TAB key, the more restricted the list of possible entries becomes. In this way, you can narrow the list so that the system returns the exact entry you want.

You are entering details for a new business partner. In the Country field you want to enter United States. Using the auto-complete function, you enter Un and select the TAB key. The system displays United States as the only possible entry starting with Un.
