Batch Characteristics in the Sales Transaction 

Use

In CRM Enterprise, in the Interaction Center, and in Internet Sales, you can enter values for batch characteristics for product that should be considered in the R/3 System during batch determination. Batch determination takes place in the R/3 System, and is only visible in the CRM System during delivery.

Integration With the R/3 System

The R/3 System is the leading system for classifying master data. Do not try to maintain classification data in the CRM System. You should only display classification data in the CRM System.

Use the function module CLIDL_LOAD_CUSTOMIZING to synchronize Customizing settings for classification between the CRM System and the R/3 System. It makes no difference whether you call the function module in the R/3 System or in the CRM System. Reduce the synchronization to class type 023. As synchronization does not take place automatically, do not forget to also update later changes that you make in R/3 Customizing in CRM Customizing using the above function module.

Integration With the APO System

In Customizing for the APO System, you can make settings to specify whether the system should carry out a characteristic-based availability check for specific batch characteristics. Prerequisites

·        You must have flagged and classified the product in the R/3 System as to be handled in batches.

·        You must have synchronized the Customizing settings for classification in the CRM System with the Customizing settings in the R/3 System.

·        You must have replicated the classification data from the R/3 System to the CRM System. When doing so, you must execute replication of objects CLASS, ATTRIBUTE and OBJCL before replication of object MATERIAL.

·        You must have assigned the product set category COMM_PR_BATCH to the product category that includes products that need to be handled in batches in the CRM System.

To do so, choose Master Data ® Products ® Maintain Categories and Hierarchies (transaction COMM_HIERARCHY) in the SAP Easy Access menu. Choose the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP and the product subtype MAT_. Assign the required product categories to the product set type.

Here, you can only enter values for batch characteristics in the shopping basket. It is not possible to enter batch characteristics in the catalog.
