Prevent Business Partner Synchronization in Public Contact Directory 

Use

This process explains the steps necessary to prevent the transfer of business partner data from CRM to the public contact directory. You need to make the following settings in Customizing.These settings serve as a filter and prevent the business partners (object BUPA_MAIN) from being synchronized with the public contact directory. In addition, these settings ensure that the BDoc messages that contain the business partner data are transferred to the MapBox repository. The relationships of business partner IDs and corresponding e-mail addresses are saved here. No further processes are carried out using the filter conditions.

You must always transfer the business partner data and execute a download, even when you do not want to synchronize it with the public contact directory. This is because the relationships of business partner IDs and e-mail addresses that are stored in the MapBox repository are used for activity management, that is, for the synchronization of activities.

Procedure

       1.      Call transaction SPRO for customizing activity settings

       2.      Navigate to Customer Relationship Management ® CRM Middleware and Related Components ® Groupware Integration ® Application-Specific Activities ® Filter Condition for Business Partners Exchange with Groupware and enter the following values:

Do not enter any values in the fields Object Part and Filter Inclusive.

       3.      In the SAP CRM Easy Access Menu, choose SAP Menu ® Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ® Data Exchange ® Initial Load ® Start (Transaction R3AS).

       4.      Execute a download for the customizing object GWA_BP_CUST.
