Function documentation Reloading Request Administration Data Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can reload archived administration data for requests to the BI administration and log tables RS*DONE and RSMON*.

Recommendation

In order to avoid unnecessary reloads from the archive, we recommend that you only archive administration data for requests when it is more than three months old and will probably not be edited again. For example, you definitely do not need to compress or activate this data again.

Integration

If you want to update data from an InfoProvider that is filled using a request and this request has archived administration data, the system creates a new request. Equally, a new request is created when you use a data transfer process to further process data from the PSA that is filled using a request and this request has archived administration data. In these cases, the system does not have to read the archive; request administration data is not reloaded.

However, when you further process data from the PSA using InfoPackages or the process type Read PSA and Update Data Target, the original load request is changed. For requests of this type, the archived administration data has to be reloaded.

Other processes that access these requests can only be executed if the corresponding archived administration data is reloaded. This includes processes such as changing the QM status in the extraction monitor, rebuilding from the PSA, rolling up, compressing, and activating requests.

Features

·        In archive administration (transaction SARA), you can reload an entire archiving run. For more information, see Structure linkReloading Archives.

·        In the Data Warehousing Workbench, in archive administration for the request (transaction RSREQARCH), you can reload administration data for the individual requests in an archiving run. For more information, see Archive Administration for Request Administration Data.

·        If you want write access to a request with archived administration data, this administration data is reloaded automatically by the system or upon confirmation from the user. This is the case, for example, when you display requests of this type in the extraction monitor or edit it. For more information, see Editing Requests with Archived Administration Data.
