Use

You can grant your customer free goods. Free goods is a kind of quantity discount. It is granted in the form of a goods delivery that is free of charge when a certain quantity is ordered in order to encourage your customer to order greater quantities. Depending on the campaigns or trade promotions found for an order item, the system determines different free goods condition records. Depending on the free goods type used, it creates one or more subitems for the corresponding order item and adjusts the prices accordingly.

Note

If you use SAP CRM together with SAP ECC, SAP CRM does not support the determination of several condition records for free goods (see section ‘Features’).

For more information about maintaining free goods, see Structure linkFree Goods.

Features

When you select an order item that has been created using a free goods condition record that has been determined, the campaigns that contain this free goods condition record are displayed.

SAP CRM with Use of SAP ECC

If you use SAP CRM together with SAP ECC, you cannot transfer multiple free goods condition records to SAP ECC for one order item. SAP ECC accepts only one free goods condition record from free goods determination. If several condition records are determined, the system accepts the first determined condition record.

You make the settings required for this in the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) at Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions ® Free Goods  ® Set Up Free Goods. For the corresponding determination procedure in the Free Goods Determination Mode column, select the value Not Active for SAP ECC-compatible mode.
