Data Recording for Web Site Monitoring 

Purpose

The system can record system information and your customers’ interactions using standard Web log files and/or TeaLeaf technology. The recorded data can then be analyzed by the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW). Both technical aspects concerning the availability and performance of Web servers and Web pages, and customer behavior on individual Web pages are examined.

These analyses can help you to find answers to the following questions, for example:

·        What is the load on my servers?

·        Where do faulty links occur?

·        Where do the visitors to my Web pages come from?

·        How long do visitors stay on my Web pages?

·        How do visitors navigate through my Web pages?

Prerequisites

·        You are using SAP BW.

·        Your Web server is log-file-enabled.

Process Flow

       1.      The system uses standard Web log files to record information and interactions for a Web page.

       2.      The recorded data is exported to SAP BW, where it can be analyzed.
