Procedure documentation Adding User-Based Permissions Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You add the role Everyone to the role KeystoreAdministrator for the generated keystore TREXKeyStore. This means that all users of the application using TREX (for example, SAP Enterprise Portal) have access to the keystores you created.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start the visual administrator in the J2EE Engine.

       2.      In the left-hand window of the visual administrator, choose the Cluster tab.

       3.      Expand the node of the server on which the J2EE Engine is running.

       4.      Expand the Services node.

       5.      Choose the entry Security Provider under Services.

       6.      Choose the entry keystore-view.TREXKeyStore from the Components window on the Policy Configurations tab.

       7.      Choose the sub-tab Security Roles from the Policy Configurations tab.

       8.      Choose the entry KeystoreAdministrator from the Security Roles window.

       9.      In the Mappings window, add the role Everyone to the administrator role of KeystoreAdministrator.

                            a.      Choose Everyone in the Tree/User Tree window.

                            b.      Choose Add.

                            c.      The entry Everyone appears in the Groups window.

Result

You have added Everyone to the KeystoreAdministrator role. This gives all users access to the keystores you created.

This is the last step in providing the certificates for the TREX Java client.

Note

For more information on permissions in the J2EE Engine, see SAP note 741535: TREX 6.1: Secure Config of TREX Services in SAP J2EE.
