Process documentation Model a Business Component for a Companion

Purpose

This process describes the steps required to create and design a business component that need to be used in a mobile client companion using Mobile Application Studio.

Recommendation

We recommend that you create a business component for a mobile client companion, instead of reusing a business component that you have modeled for a mobile client application. This is required because the business component of the companion has different modeling guidelines to follow.

Prerequisites

You have identified the required tile set(s) to be included in the business component.

Process Flow

...

       1.      MAS users create only one business component by including the required tile sets that have been modeled specifically for a mobile client companion.

For more information, see Structure linkCreating a Business Component.

       2.      MAS users determine data flow between the tile sets that have been included in the business component. This is done by creating a business anchor hierarchy. For more information, see Creating an Anchor Hierarchy for a Companion.

Note

You do not have to define the behavior of the business component, as writing scripts is not supported.

Result

The business component that needs to be included in a companion has been modeled.
