Procedure documentation Web Service Homepage

Use

You can call a Web service homepage for any Web service displayed in the transaction WSADMIN. The Web service homepage provides the following services to its user:

·        Documentation on the Web service

·        The option to display and download the WSDL document

·        The ability to testing the Web service

Prerequisites

You have entered the address of an application server running the J2EE Engine, in the transaction WSADMIN under Goto  ® Administration Settings.

If you cannot call the Web service homepage, check that the application com.sap.engine.services.webservices.tool (provider sap.com) has been launched on the J2EE Engine.

Procedure

To call a Web service homepage:

       1.      Open the transaction WSADMIN.

       2.      Call This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Web service homepage).

       3.      In the dialog box that appears, choose your settings for generating the WSDL.

       4.      Choose the Web service in the browser (by double-clicking it).

If you choose WSDLs from the blue bar, the WSDL document is displayed. WSDL documents can only be downloaded from the Web service homepage.

You can use the Test page to send test messages. Choose an operation from the Web service. Enter the parameters of the request. Choose Send. After a short time, the response appears on the right side of the screen.
