Function documentation Mapping Objects Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In account origination for loans, you use products of the type Material, category Real Estate to map assets or objects to be financed, for example.

The real estate products that you create in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) do not correspond to your customer’s individual objects, but are a template. You do not define specific data, such as the size of the residential space or the real estate value, until you use the products in the business transaction. As a result, you can use the same Real Estate product for all loans for single family homes, for example.

Prerequisites

You have defined the required object types in Customizing.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Account Origination ® Financial Service Product (FS Product) ® Property Values ® Real Estate ® Define Object Types.

Caution

As SAP CRM transfers the object to the connected Collateral Management system when collateral constellations are created, the definition of the agreement types in SAP CRM must match the agreement types in Collateral Management.

Features

As you map asset objects as products of type Material, category Real Estate, you manually create a Real Estate category in the base hierarchy for materials. This category must at least contain the following set types:

Required set types of the category Real Estate

Set type name

Set type ID

Descriptions

COMM_PR_SHTEXT

Material basic data

COMM_PR_MAT

Units of measure

COMM_PR_UNIT

Object type

CRM_PR_FSC_01

When you maintain the master data for a product of type Material in the category Real Estate, you can select the object types that you defined in Customizing.

When you use the product in a business transaction, you can select the object type that matches the actual collateral object.

In the business transaction, you also define the specific real estate data.

For more information, see Maintaining a Real Estate Item.
