Scenario

There exists an English text in both the SAP and the Customer repositories, which is first created in the SAP repository and then transported to the Customer repository. Now, SAP and the Customer create a German translation for this text separately in each of the repositories.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

  1. SAP transports the German translation object and version to the Customer repository.
  2. The customer has already added his own German translation object in his repository.
  3. When the Customer repository receives the new object from the import, the Mobile Application Studio reports a collision.

Analysis

The two German translations are separate objects with the same parent object, hence the collision. In other words, even if the versions were the same, the collision would have still occurred.
