Process documentation Customizing for Rebate Processing Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

If you want to use rebates in the context of SAP Trade Promotion Management, you must make the following settings in Customizing. You must perform different activities, depending on whether you want to work with CRM rebates or ERP rebates.

Process Flow

Customizing for ERP rebates

       1.      You maintain the necessary Customizing settings in the ERP system and copy these to SAP CRM.

       2.      You choose ERP as the rebate application in the CRM system under Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Condition Maintenance ® Define Condition Generation.

       3.      You define the condition types and condition tables for the different trade spend types:

                            a.      Customizing for volumes/trade spends: Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Key Figure Planning ® Define Trade Spends for Expected Values

                            b.      Customizing for conditions: Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Condition Maintenance

       4.      You perform all activities under Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Condition Maintenance ® ERP Rebate Processing.

       5.      Specify a country in the address data for each sales organization. The country of the sales organization in SAP CRM must be the same as the country of the company code of the corresponding sales organization in SAP ERP, since the system uses this information to determine the valid payment methods for a rebate.

       6.      If the partner role Payer is not maintained in Customizing, the system uses the partner itself.

       7.      The payment method for the rebate payment can be defined in the trade spend. These payment methods are defined under Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Business Agreement ® Define Payment Methods.

Customizing for CRM rebates

...

       1.      You make the necessary Customizing settings for CRM rebate processing under Customer Relationship Management ® Rebate Processing ® Set Up Rebate Determination and Rebate Profiles.

       2.      Define the condition types and condition tables for the different trade spend types:

                            a.      Customizing for volumes/spends: Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Key Figure Planning ® Define Trade Spends for Expected Values

                            b.      Customizing for Conditions: Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Condition Maintenance

       3.      You perform all activities under Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ®Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ®Condition Maintenance ® CRM Rebate Processing.

       4.      Enter a country in the address data for each sales organization.

Customer Relationship Management ® Rebate Processing ® System Enhancements ® Call BE Navigator.

       5.      The system uses the partner role Payer as the rebate recipient for rebates in the trade promotion. If the partner role Payer is not maintained in Customizing, the system uses the partner. For more information on this, see the section Rebate Recipient under Structure linkRebates in a Trade Promotion.

       6.      You activate the payment method used for the rebate payment in CRM rebates under Customer Relationship Management ® Rebate Processing  ® System Enhancements ® Call BE Navigator.

Result

You have made the necessary Customizing settings for rebates.
