Creating a Campaign

Procedure

1.   Access the Campaign tile using:

2.   Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

3.   On the Campaign tile, enter the following data:

Status

Status of the campaign

Required

The system enters the status.

All campaigns that have been loaded from CRM Online have the status released, because they are not loaded until they have been released.

Campaigns created in Mobile Sales also have the status released, because they are available on the mobile client.

Person Resp.

Sales person responsible for the campaign

Required

The system displays your name by default. To select a different name, choose the icon at the right-hand end of the field to display the Employee Search window, where you can search for the required employee.

Priority

Main focus of the campaign

Optional

Channel

Medium by which customers are to be contacted

Select an entry from the dropdown list

Auth. Group

Group of employees that is authorized to change the details of the campaign

If authorization rules have been defined during customizing, you can select an authorization group from the dropdown list

Parent

Name of the immediately superordinate campaign, if any

If the campaign is part of a campaign hierarchy, the system enters the appropriate parent campaign by default

No Deletion Allowed

Notification that the campaign cannot be deleted

Optional

The system selects this field when it is appropriate. You cannot change this field.

No Child Allowed

Notification that you cannot link a child campaign to the campaign

Optional

The system selects this field when it is appropriate. You cannot change this field.

Sales Org.

Sales organization for the sales area

Optional

Choose the icon at the right of the Sales Org. field to assign the sales organization for the sales area

Distr. Channel

Distribution channel that corresponds to the sales area

Choose the icon at the right of the Distr. Channel field to assign the distribution channel for the sales area

Division

Division for the sales area

Optional

Choose the icon at the right of the Division field to assign the division for the sales area

Progress

Progress of the campaign expressed as a percentage

Duration

Time frame for the campaign

Planned Start

Planned start date for the campaign

Date on which the campaign actually starts

In Customizing, you can create additional date ranges for maintaining dates related to a campaign. Customizing of these dates must be done in Mobile Sales in parallel to customizing in CRM Online. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Marketing Planning and Campaign Management. Choose Basic Data ® Define Additional Date Ranges.
