Use

This function allows your field sales force to determine taxes on products, in order to provide business partners with accurate, up-to-date pricing information.

Certain taxes (for example, the sales tax on consumer goods) only apply to the United States and Canada. Exemptions to these taxes are usually state- or province-wide.
