Function documentation Removing and Repositioning Components Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can remove or change the position of a component within the structure of an individual object by cutting the component and reinserting it at a different position.

When you remove a component, you permanently delete all the information stored with the component, such as the history, counters, codes, and, in the case of text components, the texts (component description). The referenced products and individual objects, however, remain in the system.

Prerequisites

The component type you want to move is permitted at the relevant position in the structure. You make the required settings in Customizing by choosing Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Installed Base ® Installed Base Category ® Define Installed Base Category and Installation Rules.
