Working with Attribute Sets
Attribute sets group together those attributes created specifically within CRM Marketing for marketing purposes. You could for example create an attribute set to describe purchase behavior, satisfaction level, or potential growth. When modeling marketing profiles, you can also use selection criteria relating to business master data (age or gender, for example) or to data obtained through analyses in the SAP Business Information Warehouse (BI) (for example, last month’s sales figures). Such criteria do not have to be defined within attribute sets.
A marketing profile is then created when the relevant attribute values are assigned to a business partner.
However, you can also assign individual attribute values of an attribute set to one or more business partners directly using the transaction Assign Attribute Values to Business Partners.
● In E-Selling, where they are assigned to a Web shop. Assuming you run an online bookstore for example, you might create an attribute set containing the attributes favorite author, genre, and price category. Business partners visiting the store use this attribute set to create a marketing profile.
● To create target groups. Attribute sets and the attributes they contain are used for the selection of marketing profiles.
● To create personalized e-mails. The conditions under which certain texts are included in an e-mail are specified in terms of attributes, which in turn are contained within attribute sets.
●
The following figure provides two examples of attribute sets – one for a bookstore, the other for a vitamin store:

You have created attributes. For more information about this, see Working with Attributes.
● Select an ID and description for the attribute set.
● Using the Person and Organization indicators, you define whether the attribute set should be valid for persons, organizations, or both.
● Using the Default indicator, you define that this attribute set should be assigned to all newly created business partners by default.
● Using the Edit and Assign fields, you control which users are authorized to work with the attribute set. Only users that have had the key you specify here assigned to them in the authorization maintenance may work with this attribute set.

To grant different users authorization to maintain attribute sets, in the transaction PFCG, you assign the appropriate three digit attribute set key under the authorization group BGKRL to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKL for assigning attribute sets and to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKP for maintaining attribute sets.
● To display the details of the attributes in the attribute set, select the relevant attribute and choose Display Attribute or double-click the relevant attribute.
