ATP Check with Exclusion of
Products
In the rules-based availability check (ATP check), it is possible for SAP APO to substitute a product that you have entered in the sales order with another product. If the product found in SAP CRM is not permitted for the customer by a list or a partner/product range, you can automatically perform another availability check with this product excluded.
You use SAP SCM 5.0.
You have excluded certain products by using listings and/or partner/product ranges.
For more
information about listings, see SAP Library for SAP Customer Relationship Management at Components and Functions ® Master Data ®
Listings.
For more information about partner/product ranges, see SAP Library for
SAP Customer Relationship Management at Components and Functions ® ®
Partner/Product
Ranges.
You have set up the iterative availability check in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Customer Relationship Management under Basic Functions ® Availability Check ® Availability Check Using SAP APO ® Rules-Based Availability Check ® Control Iterative ATP Check for Excluded Products/Locations.
When SAP APO performs an availability check within the context of a product substitution, SAP CRM checks the items transferred back by SAP APO for excluded products. If excluded products or locations are found, SAP CRM automatically restarts an availability check in SAP APO with these products excluded.
SAP CRM starts this new availability check with excluded products only once. If the second availability or listing check fails, SAP CRM marks the item as not available.
For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Customer Relationship Management under Basic Functions ® Availability Check ® Availability Check Using SAP APO ® Rules-Based Availability Check.
