General Options 

Use

In the General Options dialog box, you can maintain settings related to how information appears in the application window.

Features

To open the General Options dialog box, select from the menu bar Tools  ® General Options .

The General Options dialog box consists of the following sections and options:

·         Time/Date Format

¡        Time – Provides a dropdown box with options for how the time is formatted

¡        Date – Provides a dropdown box with options for how the date is formatted

Once you have selected a format for the time and date, you can preview the new format in the General Options dialog window under Time Example and Date Example.

·         Miscellaneous

¡        Font Size – Provides a dropdown box with options for font sizes that you can select based on accessibility and screen resolution

¡        Show Confirmation Messages Boxes – Requires the user to confirm an operation, such as Save or Delete, before the system performs the operation

¡        Suppress Modal Error Dialogs – Displays errors messages in status bar instead of in dialog boxes 

¡        Show Always Field Icons – Shows icons for required data fields and field buttons by default

¡        Disable Always Ink Popup – (for the tablet computer edition only) Suppresses the display of the ink popup feature for text fields
