Use

In the context of Structure linkCRM Content Management you can assign documents with different MIME types (e.g. DOC, PDF, XLS, PPT etc.) to a business partner.

Integration

In previous Releases documents were assigned to a business partner with the help of the Business Document Navigator within the Business Document Service. This assignment is converted during a system upgrade by XPRA CRM_XPRA_TRANFER_BDS_TO_CM.

Prerequisites

You have made the necessary settings in the implementation guide (IMG) in the Customizing of the Content Management and the Business Partner.

Features

The documents are assigned in the Business Partner dialog.
You can list different functions for a folder or document, like:

·        Creating

·        Displaying

·        Processing

·        Storing documents in a folder

You can also upload a document from your PC to the CRM Server here. After you have saved the document, you can access it via the storage structure.

Note

The assignment of a document to the respective business partner takes place only after you have also saved this business partner.

Activities

·        You can define templates for the folders. These folder templates are set up centrally and are valid for all business partners.

Make the necessary settings in the implementation guide (IMG) in the Customizing of the Basic Functions under Define Templates for Folders in the Content Management.

·        You can determine which folder templates should be displayed when documents are stored in the Business Partner dialog.
You can assign the folder templates to individual business partner roles. Thus a folder template for a business partner in the role sold-to party can have a different structure than in the role bill-to party.

Make the necessary settings in the implementation guide (IMG) in the Customizing of the Business Partner under Assign Templates for BP Roles Folder in the Basic Settings.
