Use

You created a service contract item for a service plan, and would like to define service plan items as subitems. You can use the product proposal to help you make your entries when creating the service plan items.

In the case of the product proposal, relevant services are proposed for selection for the reference object that you enter in the object list of the service contract item. A service plan item is created automatically for each service that is selected.

Note

The product proposal is available in the SAP GUI and in the People-Centric UI.

Prerequisites

The employee responsible has created the product of the category Material in the product master. This serves as the reference product for the reference object to be entered in the object list.

The employee has maintained the product relationships for the product proposal, and in so doing has assigned the service products that are relevant for service plans. These service products should appear subsequently in the product proposal for the reference object.

Features

·        Create a service contract item in the service contract.

·        You enter the reference object in the object list of the service contract item, select it and use the product proposal.

Note

Select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info Product Proposal in the SAP GUI.

In the People-Centric UI, choose the pushbutton Product Proposal on the tab page Reference Object.

·        You then receive a list with the services assigned in the product master as product proposals.

·        Select the planned services for your service plan.

·        For each service selected in the contract, the system automatically creates a service plan item that you can now continue to process. The system automatically derives the reference object information and counter information in the service plan item from the service contract item. The system derives the information about the service interval from the interval template, which is assigned to the reference product of the reference object in the product master.

Note

If an individual object is used as a reference object, the system then checks which reference product is behind the individual object, and whether service products can be entered as relationships for this product. If this is the case, these service products are displayed in the product range list. Otherwise the product proposal does not deliver a result.
