Locator
The locator is a tool used in product maintenance to search for and select different types of products according to a combination of selection criteria. Products you wish to work on frequently can be stored in a worklist.
The locator appears either as a full screen, allowing you to switch between full screen versions of the locator and work area, or on the left-hand side of the product maintenance screen with the work area on the right. It consists of two tab pages:
· Worklist
· Search
If you wish, you
can reduce or increase the width of the locator by choosing
(Narrower) or
(Wider).
(Minimum) or increase the width of the
locator directly to its maximum size by choosing
(Maximum).

Multiple selection of products is possible on both the Search and Worklist tab pages in the locator:
· All products can be selected between two particular products using SHIFT + mouse click.
· Several individual products can be selected using CTRL + mouse click.
On the Search tab page, you can select several products at once and assign them to your worklist. On the Worklist tab page, you can select several products at once and delete them in one go.
Products can be assigned to other products in product maintenance using the relationships functionality. By making multiple selections from within the locator, on either the Worklist or Search tab page, you can assign several products at once to a product in the work area.
To do this, select
the relevant products within the hit list and choose

relationships functionality in the work area, you can then assign the selected
products to the product you are working on by choosing
(Insert Products).
If you are using the SAP GUI for Windows, product relationships can also be created using Drag&Drop. Simply drag and drop one or more products onto another product to create a product relationship.
