Copying Marketing Segments 

Use

This function is only available in the SAP GUI. In the Segment Builder, you can copy existing marketing segments and use these as a starting point for further modeling activities. In this way, you can re-use your favorite profiles and target groups and enhance these if required.

Features

The following marketing segments can be copied:

·        Profile sets

·        Subsets

·        Profiles

·        Target groups

To copy a marketing segment, select the required segment in the staging area of the Segment Builder and choose either the Copy pushbutton or choose Copy Segments from the context menu. If no individual segments are selected, the entire profile set is copied.

You can choose whether the copied segments are created in a new profile set, an existing profile set, an existing subset, or in a new subset of an existing profile set.

If a subset exists in the profile set you want to copy, you cannot copy to another subset since the Segment Builder only permits one additional hierarchy level below the profile set.

You can also decide whether the target groups attached to the profile set are to be copied as well.
