The data synchronization process comprises the following stages:
· Send and Receive
· Import
The availability of the network connection is mandatory during the Send and Receive stage. However, the network connection is not required during the data import stage. The ConnTrans icon in the system tray intuitively provides this information to the sales representative. The following table explains the different states of the ConnTrans icon in the system tray.

The tool tip, which appears when you position the mouse over the ConnTrans icon in the system tray, also provides information about the states mentioned above. In addition, the tool tip provides the following information:
· ConnTrans last run date, time, and duration
When you start ConnTrans and before you choose Synchronize, the tool tip displays the date, time, and duration of the last execution of ConnTrans. The tool tip also provides this information when ConnTrans is idle.
· Data synchronization stage
After you choose Synchronize, the tool tip constantly changes to reflect the corresponding stage of the data synchronization process.
