Products (People-Centric UI)
The product master allows you to search for products using various selection criteria. Products you wish to work on frequently can be stored in your favorites list. You delete the products that you no longer require from this list at any time. You can display products and their data, and create and change products in a simple manner by working through the tabs in the lower half of the screen.

Alternative IDs can be used in the quick search to search for products. The entries you need to make depend on your settings in Customizing of the SAP Product:
·
Only one ID type
was assigned in Customizing.
This means that you can enter the value of the alternative ID directly without
specifying the ID type.
·
More than one ID
type was assigned in Customizing.
This means that both the ID type and value need to be entered. The distinction
between the two is indicated by a separator, which can be specified in
Customizing for each ID type.
For example, you can search for a book using the ISBN by entering
ISBN:3-345*.
All books are found whose ISBN begins with 3-345.
You can find out which ID type(s) is assigned in the advanced search using the input help on the Alternative ID Type field.
For more information, see the IMG of SAP Products under Alternative Product IDs ® Assign ID Profile to People-Centric UI and under Alternative Product IDs ® Define ID Types.
Maintaining Products
· You can display, create, change, and copy products.

Bear in mind that the tabs available depend on the product type and role with which you are working.
· You can create relationships between products and other products or objects. To do this, choose the Relationships tab and select the relevant relationship type in the dropdown list box.
· Customer-defined set types can be maintained for products on their own tab pages, corresponding to the views assigned to them in category maintenance (SAP GUI).
