Enhanced Backend Integration Version of CRM
Organizational Model 
This function enables you to switch your organizational model to the enhanced backend integration version, so that you can download your complete R/3 sales structure, including multiple assignments of organizational units, to your CRM organizational model.
The sales structure can then be displayed and maintained alongside your HR reporting hierarchy in the CRM organizational model, showing relationships between sales units and the HR reporting hierarchy.

In your R/3 sales structure, sales group 29 has been assigned to sales offices 9 and 10. In your CRM organizational model:
Only sales organizations, sales
offices, and sales groups can be maintained as multiple assignments in the CRM
organizational model, and then only to superordinate units.
Organizational units only will
be inherited to subordinate units during data transfer. Business attributes
will not be inheirted. They must be maintained manually.
Divisions and distribution
channels can only be maintained for sales organizational units (sales
organizations, sales offices, and sales groups) and not for neutral
organizational units, or organizational units that do not correspond to a
sales entity. Customers who have already maintained a CRM organizational model
and now wish to switch to the enhanced backend integration should be aware
that data maintained for such units will be lost during conversion of the
model.
Once you have switched to the enhanced backend integration version of the
organizational model you cannot return to the standard backend integration
version. The system will also automatically make changes to the organizational
model version in CRM Mobile Sales.
After installing the enhanced backend integration version of the CRM organizational model you can copy your entire sales structure from your R/3 system to CRM Enterprise.
You only switch to the enhanced backend version of the CRM organizational model if you are using R/3 as backend system, and only if you want to use multiple assignments maintained in your R/3 sales structure in your CRM organizational model.

functionality remains the same in the enhanced backend integration version as
in the standard backend integration version of the CRM organizational model.
