Definition

You can assign business partners to each other in the relevant partner functions that define the rights and responsibilities of each business partner in business transactions.

Use

You can use partner functions as follows when you have created a relationship.

You can assign an appropriate partner function for a particular sales area to a business partner, depending on the existing relationship to another business partner.

A relationship can be assigned more than one partner function from the same partner function category in different sales areas.

Example

Set the standard indicator to indicate that a business partner is the default standard partner for a particular partner function for the business partner you are maintaining.

Note

If you do not set the standard indicator, the business partner you have maintained takes on all partner functions.

Assignments of customers to themselves for partner functions in the ERP system are not distributed to the CRM Server.

Integration

You can rename partner functions to suit your company's terminology. For example, in the real estate business, you might rename the sold-to party the tenant.

You can also exclude partner functions. For more information, see Excluded Partner Functions.
