Performing Migration
In the SAP Easy
Access menu, choose Tools ® ABAP Workbench
® Development
® ABAP
Editor. Start the
program RSEC_MIGRATION there. You are led through the individual settings for
migration step by step. For each step you are provided information on the
individual configuration option with
Information.
1.
Choose the users
that you wish to migrate.. These users are migrated. Start the next migration
step with
Next Step.
2. Select the authorization objects for which you wish to transfer authorizations. Make sure that you choose complete user groups. Otherwise the migration will terminate with an error message and a list of missing users in interactive mode.
3.
Select the method
for generating the new authorizations. Start the next migration step with
Next Step.
4. Decide whether all of the proposed characteristic types (navigation attributes, referencing characteristics with hierarchies and referencing navigation attributes) are to be transferred. The proposals are created based on the settings for the compatibility modes. If you do not use them, you can still decide whether the authorizations are to be transferred to the navigation attributes that have possibly recently become authorization relevant. The recommendation is yes.
In general, only those characteristics that are designated as authorization relevant are taken into account during transfer.
5. Start the migration (F8) and complete the user selection as necessary until the system recognizes it as being complete.
6. Read the application log that is displayed directly after the program has run in interactive mode. As an alternative, you can go into transaction SLG1 and choose RSEC_BW_AUTH as the object and MIGRATE as the subobject.
