A classification for collections.

A collection can be of type S, H, or A:

• S - System: A system collection cannot be created by the application,

only by XML DAS itself. An application cannot create any resources

inside a system collection.

• H - Home: Home collections are created when the home paths in

application systems are synchronized with the XML DAS.

The home collection is the first node within an archive

path, in which the application can create collections or into which

resources can be written.

• A - Application: Collections of this type were created by the

application. The application can use these collections to create

resources or other subcollections.
