Assigning a Reference Product to an Individual Object 

Use

By assigning a reference product to an individual object, you can reference the data of this product.

Features

You create an individual object in the normal manner in object maintenance. You also:

       1.      Assign it the category containing the set types to be referenced.

The fields of this set type will then be displayed in object maintenance, but no entries can be made.

       2.      Specify the product from which the data is to be referenced.

The reference product must be a product for which an active version exists and it must not be flagged for deletion.

When the referenced product is entered, the system checks whether the individual object can be assigned this reference product.

Any product data referenced in the relevant set types should now be displayed. This cannot be changed.

       3.      Change the reference product entered, if required.

Note that it is only possible to enter one reference product.
