Definition

Groups attributes together that indicate when and how a business partner can be contacted.

Use

Business hours can indicate, for example, when a business partner can receive:

     Telephone calls (calling hours)

     Visitors (visiting hours)

Deliveries of products (goods receiving hours)

You can create calling and visiting hours for a contact person relationship.

You can create different schedule types for a business partner. You can also create your own schedule types. If you do so, see Note 636427 for more information.

Make the necessary settings for business hours in Customizing for Business Partner under Basic Settings ®  Establish Dialog Form for Goods Receiving Hours and Visiting Hours.

Data Exchange

When you distribute business partner master data from the CRM Server to the ERP system, the data for the business hours is not distributed to the ERP system. Only the goods receiving hours are distributed.

Special Features for the Mobile Client

You can define other types of business hours in Customizing, in addition to the business hours that are delivered in the standard system. These are, however, not exchanged with the CRM Server.

Integration

The business hours are based on the SAP appointment calendar, which allows you to define appointment rules with the help of the rule editor. You can use various rule types for this purpose (for example, regular daily or weekly visiting hours). You can indicate, for example, that a business partner can be visited on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month from 08.00 to 10.00, with the exception of public holidays.

For more information on the appointment calendar, see Structure linkThe Appointment Calendar (BC-SRV-GBT).
