Procedure documentation Displaying Information on a Session Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The information on a session refers to the data exchange during communication between a site and the CRM Server.

Prerequisites

You have started the Communication Monitor.

Procedure

Perform the following steps in the initial screen of the Communication Monitor:

  1. Enter the site, queue and the respective Communication Station (CommSta) that you want in the left-hand side of the screen in the tab page Single Session.
  2. Then enter the desired period (date and time) in which the sessions to be analyzed are supposed to begin.
  3. Finally, select a status so that only such sessions are displayed that had this status at the end of the previously selected period. You can also select several statuses.
  4. Choose Session ® Search from the menu or press the button Search.
  5. For each session that is found, a record containing information on this session appears in the table in the upper right-hand screen element.

    The following information is displayed:

    Status of session

    This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (failed): the communication did not even take place.

    This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (active): the session is still running.

    This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (finished): the session was successfully finished or terminated. In the case of an error, the affected transfer is repeated.

    Communication Station

    Name of the Communication Station.

    Site Name

    Name of the site that has been assigned to the client.

    Queue

    Name of queue

    StartDay

    The day on which the session was started on the CRM Server.

    StartTime

    The time that the session was started on the CRM Server.

    End Day

    The day on which the session was completed on the CRM Server.

    EndTime

    The time that the session was completed on the CRM Server.

    Total time

    The total time that the session took on the CRM Server.

  6. Double-click to choose one of the sessions displayed. The corresponding record is marked green.
  7. Detailed information on this session now appears in the tab Session Details in the lower left-hand screen area:

    General

    General information on the session, the components involved as well as on the transfer time.

    Download

    Information on the number of downloaded (sent) BDoc messages and table entries along with the necessary RFC calls as well as the corresponding response times.

    Upload

    Information on the number of uploaded (read) BDoc messages and table entries along with the necessary RFC calls as well as the corresponding response times.

    Transfer rates

    Information on the data exchange rates during download and upload.

  8. Choose the appropriate tab page in order to display the information you want.
