Product
A product is a commodity that is the object of the business activity of a company and that serves to generate value for the company. It can be tangible or intangible.
The product master data is used to support planning, logistics, modeling, forecasting, and reporting. For example, you use products when planning a promotion or when scheduling modeling and forecasting processes.
You can perform the following:
Find products by using the search feature.
Display a product to view its details, available units of measure, and assignments to product hierarchies.
Change details of a product.
Structure
The product master data contains information required to represent a product, such as the product identifier, description, master data system, unit of measure, merchandise category, type, and assignments.

Variant of ERP Generic Article
