The store traffic time series is used to represent the number of transactions that have occurred in a location.
The Demand Data Foundation (DDF) module in SAP Customer Activity Repository uses an inbound interface (function module /DMF/BI_SALES_DATA
) to receive the store traffic time series through a Remote Function Call (RFC). For more information, see the function module documentation (transaction SE37).
DDF can receive the store traffic data from an SAP Warehouse (SAP BW) application or a non-SAP application. For more information, see Integration Information.
The prerequisites described under Inbound Interfaces For Remote Function Call (RFC) Communication have been fulfilled.
Customizing (transaction SPRO):
You have defined the initial data activation under
.You have defined the initial data profile under
.You have defined the time series granularity under
.Note
Your historical data must be at daily granularity. Weekly data is currently not supported. For more information, see Customizing (transaction SPRO) under
.You have defined the number range for the time series under
.You have ensured that the master data (such as location) associated to the specific store traffic data exists and is available in DDF. For more information about the inbound interface for locations, see Location Master Data.
If you assign offers to store traffic data, you have ensured that the offer exists and is available in DDF. For more information about the inbound interface for offers, see Offer Master Data.
The inbound interface receives a complete initial load and subsequent delta loads.
The inbound interface receives time series with 2 types of granularity: daily or weekly.
DDF performs various validation checks on the received data. For example, it checks whether the location exists and is available in DDF.
