The offer master data is used to support planning, logistics, modeling, forecasting, and reporting. For example, you can use the offer master data to plan promotions or to schedule demand modeling and forecasting processes.
Demand Data Foundation (DDF) uses an inbound interface (function module/DMF/OPIF_OFFER_INBOUND
) to receive the offer master data through a Remote Function Call (RFC). For more information about this inbound interface, see the function module documentation (transaction SE37
).
DDF can receive the offer master data from an SAP ERP application (transaction DRFOUT
) or a non-SAP application. For more information, see Integration Information.
You have ensured that the prerequisites described in section Inbound Interfaces Through a Remote Function Call (RFC) Communication have been fulfilled.

You have ensured that the master data (such as the product location combination) associated to the specific offer record exists and is available in DDF.
The inbound interface receives the Create

actions for the offer data.
DDF performs various validation checks on the received data. For example, it checks whether the products associated to an offer exist and are available in DDF.
