With this feature, you can now trace the factors that have influenced the demand forecasts generated with Unified Demand Forecast (UDF). This gives you a better understanding of the forecast values and allows you to do forecast analyses at the level of individual product locations. Forecast tracing is available for all supported time series sources (see Time Series).
For example, you can use forecast tracing to do the following:
Evaluate the impact of planned future prices and offers.
See the prices based on which the forecasts have been generated.
See why a particular daily forecast was set to zero (for example, because the location is closed on that day or the product is not listed).
Do in-depth forecast analyses (see Analyzing Forecasts with New SAP Fiori App).
You can activate forecast tracing using the existing Define Forecasting Control Settings
Customizing activity under . For more information, see the accompanying documentation (transaction SPRO).
