Virtual Data Model: Sales Orders
The virtual data model for sales orders (time series source SO_VDM) allows Demand Data Foundation (DDF) to use historical sales orders stored in SAP Customer Activity Repository as input for demand modeling with Unified Demand Forecasting (UDF).
The SO_VDM provides UDF with access to historical sales orders (typically, Web purchases) in the data model of SAP Customer Activity Repository. The sales orders are aggregated to the level of product / location / sales organization / distribution channel / order channel / day. Note that the time series is not persisted in the DDF data model.
Using this VDM, UDF consumes the SAP HANA calculation view sap.is.retail.car/SalesDocumentAggregatedSalesByArticleLocation. This view provides demand modeling with the data it needs to assess the effects of demand influencing factors (DIFs) on consumer demand.
Note
With this VDM, you can also use historical promotions that are available in SAP ERP as input for demand modeling. For more information, see ERP Promotion Views.
For more information about the data consumed by this VDM, see View Grouping: Sales Document Aggregated Sales Data by Article Location.
You can also find there information about attributes, calculated measures, filters, and tables.
