When you select Manage BPF Instance from the action pane, the following functions are available:

Function

Description

Activate

To activate a BPF instance, from the drop-down boxes at the top of the window, select the template and the status inactive, then choose Refresh. The instances of the template are displayed in the lower section. Select the instances to activate, then press Activate.

Deactivate

To deactivate an active BPF instance, or a BPF instance waiting for finalization, from the drop-down boxes at the top of the window, select the template and the status active, then choose Refresh. The instances of the template are displayed in the lower section. Select the instances to deactivate, then press Deactivate.

An inactive BPF does not appear available for users.

To change the owner of a specific BPF instance, choose Update instance owner.

Archive

To archive finalized or inactive instances, choose Archive.

To reset BPF instances back to step 1, choose Reset. The system resets the status within a business process flow so that users must perform the steps again. It does not, however, reset changes made to your metadata or transaction data.
