This function allows you to create and set up an application set used to run consolidations.

Prerequisites

ApShell has been installed.

Activation for ApShell must be completed. You can ensure that the ApShell content activation process has completed successfully by logging on to Admin Console with the application set ApShell. You can also check this by accessing the ABAP server, and running the transaction RSA1 to check the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse Infoprovider APSHELL and its structure.

Features

Creating the Application Set

You begin by creating a new application set. You can create the application set by copying ApShell. For more information, see New Application Sets.

You can use the same application set for your consolidation, planning, and reporting solutions, as dimensions can be shared by applications in an application set.

Setting Application Set Parameters

You must set the following parameters after creating the application set. Most of them are not required for a consolidation, but are a generic system requirement for an application set. For descriptions of each parameter, see Application Set Parameters.

  • ALLOW_FILE_SIZE

  • UPLOADTEMP

  • TEMPLATEVERSION

  • JREPORTZOOM

  • LOGLEVEL

  • SYSTEM

  • MESSAGE

  • STATUS

Note Note

In the NetWeaver version of the system, all parameters are stored in the ABAP DDIC table UJA_USER_DEF.
