You can define KPI alert messages that automatically send an e-mail triggered by a defined event.

Features

You can have up to three separate criteria for the alert. You must set up at least one criterion, and you may append up to two more with Boolean operations to create a combined alert. You can elect to receive alerts via the following methods:

  • E-Mail

  • Instant messenger

Example Example

You define an alert called SalesOrderProcessingTimeTooLong. The alert is triggered when the average sales order processing time for the period exceeds 10 days.

Activities

  • To set an alert, choose   Insight   Maintain Alerts   Maintain Alert Options  .

  • You can choose to have the system alert you via e-mail or instant messaging (or both) if any of your alerts are triggered.

    The e-mail and instant messaging addresses are determined from the user’s profile and are display only.

  • You can choose a second or third alert to use as a comparison for your alert. You can also combine alerts.
