You use a custom menu template to define the format, content, and functions of a custom menu. See Custom Menu Content and Custom Menu Functions.
You can create custom menus using the templates provided by the sample application set, ApShell. Or, you can create a custom menu for a specific group by creating a new worksheet within an existing custom menu.
The sample templates have workbooks that contain several worksheets, including the following:
EV_MENUSTYLE — You define the format of the custom menu in the EV_MENUSTYLE worksheet.
EV_DEFAULT — You define the contents of the custom menu. A default custom menu is provided with the sample application set, ApShell, which can be modified. For example, if you want a specific group to see a version of this custom menu, you can copy the sheet, name it, and modify the menu items.
ADMINGROUP — This worksheet is similar to the EV_DEFAULT worksheet, but modified for users in administrator groups. For example, it contains links to tasks that only administrators can perform. You can modify this worksheet, or copy and rename it.
