Using the EPM plug-in, you can open and save files in different ways, depending on the connections you use.

If you do not open a file from a web portal, or work with a Planning and Consolidation connection, you can always use the Microsoft Office Excel or PowerPoint standard open and save features.
Note When using Microsoft Office Excel, you can open or save files with the following formats: xls, xlsx (except in Microsoft Office Excel 2003), xlsm, xlt, xltx and xltm.
Note Even if the Microsoft Office 2007 compatibility pack has been installed, you cannot open in Microsoft Office 2003 an xlsx or xltx workbook that has been created with Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010.
