The connections are managed in the
Connection
Manager dialog box. The
Connection
Manager can be opened in the following ways:
- Select
- Click
Log On, then
select the ellipsis button
- In the Connections tab of the
EPM pane, double-click on Change
connection... to display the list of available connections. This
applies to both the Display by Worksheet or
Display by Connection options. You can also refresh
the list of connections by clicking the refresh button.
When you open the
Connection Manager, all the connections that have ever
been selected are displayed. This includes local connections, when the
Display Local Connections option is selected.
Note
If you always want local connections to display when you open the
Connection Manager, select the Display
Local Connections option in .
You can perform the following actions in the
Connection Manager:
- Select a connection.
- Set a default connection so that the
connection is proposed by default when you log on. To do so, in the
Connection Manager, select a connection in the list
and click Set as Default.
- Selectively connect or disconnect one
or more sheet/connection pairs. For example, when a workbook contains a large
number of sheets that you do not want to be connected, you can disconnect
several sheets at the same time.
- Edit or delete a connection.
- Duplicate a Planning and Consolidation
connection.
- Sort the list of connections based on
the connection name or the server, by clicking the Connection
Name header or Server header.
- Search for a connection by using the
entry area at the bottom of the dialog box. The search is performed on both
connection names and servers.
- Press a key and the next row beginning
with this key is selected.
