Prerequisites

To change a connection, select the cube/model, the sheet or the report and click the Change Connection button.
Note If you connect a report to a different cube or model, the previous cube/model will be disconnected. In other words, one report can only be connected to one cube/model at a time.
Note You can also perform a change connection and a refresh connection directly in the Connections tab of the EPM pane.

Procedure

  1. Select one of the following:
    1. In the Connection Manager dialog box, click the Report Connections.
    2. In the EPM pane, select the Connections tab and click Refresh.
All connected sheets in all open workbooks in the current session of Microsoft Office Excel appear in the tree view list displaying cubes/models, sheets and reports.
Note You can choose how to display the sheet/connection pair by clicking the Display by Worksheet or Display by Connection tab.
    Note

Display by Worsheet: information displays starting with the name of the book and sheet. If at any time you add a report in a worksheet, you will need to select the refresh button in the Connections tab in order to get the latest updates.

Display by Connection: information displays starting with the connection name and connection type. If you click on a connection name, other information will appear in the lower part of the pane such as the query name and query alias.

  2. To change a connection, select the cube/model, the sheet or the report and click the Change Connection button.
